Help by volunteering

We are always looking for volunteers to support our work. We welcome people from different backgrounds and with different experiences and skills: there is always a place for you with N4BW.

We work in close partnership with VMM (Voluntary Missionary Movement) who will often place volunteers in Sitima with us. These tend to be for longer placements, usually a minimum of one year. However, we welcome anyone but particularly, professionals with specialist skills, to work with us on shorter placements. The projects we are currently working on include agriculture, water, health, business and education.

Supporting our work in the UK is just as valuable as travelling to Malawi. We need fundraisers; regular givers; ambassadors willing to appeal in churches and in other organisations for us and trustees to join a dedicated band of volunteers. This list is by no means exhaustive: contact us to find other ways you can get involved.

Retired from a career in Education

Marian has volunteered with us on two occasions: she first spent a month as a short term volunteer and is now spending a full year working on a number of educational initiatives with seventeen primary schools and two secondary schools. Read more about her endeavours on her blog.

Retired bank manager
